Zaricort cream is a combination medicine used in the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. It works by killing the microorganisms that cause infection. It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause redness, swelling, and itching.
Miconazole nitrate – an antifungal which works by destroying both the fungus that causes the infection and some of the associated bacteria which may also be present. Hydrocortisone – a mild ‘topical steroid’ which reduces inflammation, swelling, redness and itching of the skin.
This medicine is usually safe, however, it may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare.
